Pet Grooming Salon Software for the Whole Salon Day
A salon day is not one appointment. It is a calendar filling up, a queue of requests nobody has assigned yet, and a front desk that needs to know who is ready for pickup right now. Pet Ops runs all three from one screen.
The Calendar Is the Salon Day
The grooming calendar shows every appointment for every groomer, on one screen, for the day or the week. Staff see who is booked, who is running behind, and who has an open slot right now.
A request that has not been assigned yet does not sit buried in a list. It shows up in an unassigned queue on the same screen as the schedule, so it gets a groomer and a time before the day gets away from anyone.

Every Appointment Moves Through Real Stages
A grooming appointment is not just booked or done. It moves through Requested, Pending, Confirmed, In Progress, and Ready for Pickup on the way to Completed. A cancellation or a no show is its own status, not a note someone has to remember to add.
Staff can see at a glance which dogs are still waiting to be picked up and which ones have not been touched yet. Nobody has to ask "did Bella go home already" out loud across the salon.
The Appointment Drawer Holds the Whole Job
Open an appointment and everything about that groom is in one place. The service, the add-ons, the groomer, the size band, and the price that was quoted.
Handling notes about matting, bite risk, or sedation stay with the appointment for the groomer to see. They never show up on an invoice and the client never sees them. That line is enforced by the software, not by staff remembering to leave a field blank.
When the groom is done, staff can attach a finished photo directly to the appointment. A ready for pickup timestamp records when the dog was actually done, which is the number the front desk needs when an owner calls asking how much longer.
The Unassigned Queue Instead of a Sticky Note
Requests come in from the portal, from a phone call, or attached to a boarding stay. Not every one of them lands with a groomer and a time right away. Instead of getting lost, they sit in an unassigned queue until staff act on them.
A request tied to a boarding or training stay ages as the stay gets closer to ending, so the ones that are about to become a problem surface first.
One Front Desk Screen for Every Module
Grooming is not a separate system bolted onto the front desk. A dog that is in progress or ready for pickup shows up on the same on site roster as a boarding guest or a dog mid training session, so the front desk knows who is physically on the property without checking three screens.
That roster is what staff actually work off of during a busy stretch. It answers "who is here right now" for the whole building, not just for one module.
A dog counts as on site once its appointment moves to In Progress, and stays counted through Ready for Pickup. Requested and Confirmed appointments show as scheduled but not yet arrived, which is the same distinction the front desk already makes out loud.
A Cancelled Slot Does Not Have to Be Forgotten
When a groomer's day is full, staff can put the owner on a waitlist for that service instead of losing them. If a slot opens, nobody is relying on memory to know who was waiting.
Appointment reminders go out ahead of the visit, and every send is logged against the appointment rather than disappearing once it leaves.
Reports Built for Running the Business, Not Just the Day
Beyond the daily calendar, Pet Ops reports on groomer utilization, so you can see busy minutes against available minutes instead of guessing whether a groomer's day is actually full. A commission report totals what each groomer is owed for a date range, pulled from the same commission snapshot recorded on every appointment.
A rebooking report shows which pets completed a groom and never came back, which is the list worth a phone call. An expired vaccination report flags pets whose records have lapsed, so it gets caught before drop off instead of at the tub.
Priced the Way the Salon Already Quotes
None of this matters if the price on the appointment is wrong. Pet Ops prices every service by size band and duration, so the schedule and the invoice agree with each other before the dog is even dropped off.
Built by Operators
Pet Ops was built inside a real board-and-train facility, under real operational pressure. Grooming is the newest module on that platform, specified against real front desk problems rather than a generic feature list.
