Dog Grooming Package Software for Prepaid Grooms

Sell six full grooms up front, redeem them one at a time at checkout. Pet Ops runs grooming packages on the same prepaid credit ledger the daycare module already uses, so the balance is real, auditable, and can never go negative.

A Pack Is Scoped to a Service and a Size

A pack of grooms is not a generic dollar credit. It is scoped to one service and one size band, decided at the time it is sold. A pack of medium full grooms can only be spent on a medium full groom. It cannot quietly get spent on an extra large groom or on a nail trim instead.

That scoping is what keeps a pack honest. What the owner paid for is exactly what the owner gets back, one visit at a time.

A flat priced service with no size band, like a nail trim, can still be packaged. The scope simply records that the pack applies to the service alone, with no band attached, so a facility never has to invent a band just to sell a pack of a service that was never banded in the first place.

The Pet Ops grooming packages admin screen, listing a prepaid pack of six full grooms scoped to one service and one size band.

A Catalog for Repeat Sellers, or a One-Off Quantity

You can set up a standing catalog of packs, a 6-pack of full grooms in Medium, a 4-pack of nail trims, whatever you actually sell often, so staff pick one from a list at the counter. When a customer asks for a quantity that is not in the catalog, staff can still ring up an ad-hoc pack on the spot with its own count and price.

Sold at the Counter, No Card Held

A grooming package is a counter sale. There is no card on file involved and no Stripe call made to sell one. Staff key in the package and take payment the way they would for anything else sold at the front desk.

Credits Come Off at Checkout

When the owner comes in for a groom the pack covers, the credit is applied in place of the price at checkout. Staff do not have to remember a running count by hand or check a spreadsheet. The system knows what is left.

This runs on the same prepaid credit ledger the daycare module already uses. A facility selling both daycare visits and grooming packs is not learning two separate systems to do it.

Append Only, So the History Holds Up

Every credit added and every credit spent is its own entry in an append only ledger. Nothing gets edited or deleted after the fact. If an owner asks where six credits went, the answer is a list of real entries, not a single balance number you have to take on faith.

Redeeming a credit is all or nothing. Either the full amount required for the visit comes off the balance, or nothing is deducted at all. The balance itself can never go negative. There is no state where a pack owes more grooms than it has.

A Mis-Scan Does Not Have to Be a Loss

If a credit gets redeemed by mistake, the consumption can be reversed and handed back to the balance without touching the original purchase. The pack the owner bought stays exactly as it was sold.

The purchase itself can also be refunded separately, which unwinds the sale rather than just adjusting a number, so the ledger and the money in the drawer still agree with each other afterward.

The Invoice Says What Was Actually Sold

A pack sold at the counter shows up on the invoice with a real description, something like "6 x Full Groom (Medium)" rather than a generic label borrowed from another module. The owner reading their receipt sees what they bought, in grooming's own words.

Packs Can Expire

A pack can carry an expiry so credits do not sit unused forever. Expired credits are swept before the balance is shown to staff, so nobody is quoted a balance that has already lapsed.
