Grooming Appointment Scheduling Software Built on Real Groomer Availability

Groomers do not all work the same hours at the same place. Pet Ops books against each groomer's actual schedule, per location, per day, so an appointment is never offered for a time that does not exist.

Availability by Groomer, Location and Weekday

Each groomer's schedule is set per location, per weekday, with a start date and an optional end date. One groomer can work Tuesday at one location and Thursday at another, and the calendar honors both without you maintaining two separate systems.

Time off works the same way. Block a whole day or just part of one, and the scheduler stops offering that groomer for the blocked time automatically.

The Pet Ops new grooming appointment wizard, showing its four steps: pet, service, date and pick slot, with an owner's pets listed after a name search.

Two Ways to Run the Day

Some salons book fixed appointment times. Others take dogs in during a drop off window and work through them in whatever order makes sense. Pet Ops supports both, set per groomer.

Time based scheduling books a specific start time against a groomer's open hours. Slot based scheduling instead sets a daily capacity and a drop off window, so owners pick a window to bring the dog in rather than an exact minute. Use whichever one matches how the appointment book actually runs.

Duration Follows the Dog, Not a Guess

A booking is not a flat block of time. Duration comes from the service and the dog's size band, so a bigger dog books the longer slot it actually needs and a smaller one does not tie up time nobody is using. Add-ons add their own time to the total.

Weekdays run Monday through Sunday everywhere in the scheduler, so a groomer's hours, their time off, and a recurring series all read the same way.

Owners Request, Staff Confirm

Owners can request a time through the portal within the hours a groomer actually works. Booking enforces a minimum lead time and a maximum advance window, both set by the salon, so a request cannot land three minutes from now or eight months out by accident.

A portal request lands as pending until staff confirm it. Nothing gets locked into the day's schedule without someone looking at it first.

If a requested time is already taken, the booking screen does not just say no. It offers the same groomer's next open slot, other groomers open at the same time, or a spot on the waitlist for that day, so a conflict turns into a choice instead of a dead end.

Vaccination Records Get Checked at Booking

A portal booking checks the pet's vaccination records before it lets the request go through. If a required record has lapsed, the owner sees that before the appointment is ever created, not when the dog is already at the door.

Recurring Grooms Without a Recurrence Engine

A dog that comes in every four, six, or eight weeks does not need to be booked one appointment at a time. Pet Ops materializes a set number of real future appointments at once, on the same groomer and the same time, rather than generating them on the fly from a recurrence rule.

Recurring booking runs through the owner portal. If a date in the series runs into a conflict, the booking either takes the dates that are actually available and reports the ones it could not take, or it takes none of them and reports the clash. Either way the conflicting dates come back named. Occurrences are never silently dropped.

Where a Request Comes From Doesn't Matter

A grooming appointment can also arrive attached to a boarding or training stay, with no groomer and no time assigned yet, waiting for staff to place it on the calendar the same way any other request would be.

Built by Operators

Pet Ops was built inside a real board-and-train facility, under real operational pressure. Grooming is the newest module on that platform, specified against published salon price lists and real front desk problems rather than dropped in as a generic booking widget.

Book Against Schedules That Are Actually Real
