SMS Consent (Opt-In) Proof
Pet Ops sends transactional text messages related to a customer's pet care services. This page explains how consent is collected from the consumer and provides evidence of the opt-in workflow.
How consent is collected
Customers enter their mobile number during account creation and/or while booking services with a participating pet care facility. During this process, the customer is shown an unchecked checkbox with the disclosure text below. The customer must actively check the box to provide consent before submitting the form.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. Customers can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and can request help by replying HELP.
Where consent is collected
Consent to receive transactional SMS messages is collected via web forms in the following locations:
- Account signup form: https://petops.app/signup/
- Client booking flow example: https://os.petops.app/client/acme/cv1yqf
On these forms, users are presented with an unchecked checkbox that requires affirmative action before submission. The disclosure text clearly states the types of messages sent, that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, that users may reply STOP to opt out and HELP for support, and that consent is not a condition of purchase.

Message types
Pet Ops may send transactional messages such as:
- One-time passcodes (OTP) for account authentication
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Check-in and pickup notifications
- Critical account alerts related to a customer's services
Pet Ops does not send marketing or promotional messages from this number.
